Review: Pacific View Paradise B&B Christchurch, NZ

Pacific View Paradise Bed & Breakfast

My parents in law, my husband and I spent our last two nights in NZ at the tastefully decorated and delightfully serene Pacific View Paradise Bed & Breakfast perched on top of Cashmere Heights. We have been privileged to meet lovely New Zealanders throughout the trip but our hosts Linda and Pual and their gorgeous B&B were the icing on the cake.

We arrived late on Christmas Day from Lake Tekapo, cruising through a quiet city centre that has literally shut down for Christmas. Days before we were due at the B&B, Linda was already thinking ahead for us and offered to help us arrange our meals in anticipation of the lack of options in town. We eventually chose to have an alfresco dinner (MacDonalds and KFC) in her beautiful courtyard, charmed by the sea of lights that lit Christchurch. It was a home away from home.

Linda’s attention to detail is amazing. She prepared a bottle of delicious sparkling juice in the cooler instead of wine as I had earlier communicated to her that we do not consume alcohol. She also generously allowed us the use of a family room for relaxation.

The B&B has stunning views of the city, Pacific Ocean and the Southern Alps. It’s like walking into a home that one sees only in those home and gardens magazines, except you also meet the wonderfully thoughtful and gracious host who makes the world’s best muesli for breakfast! I would know cos I don’t ever take muesli in my life but couldn’t resist it!

I would recommend this B&B to anyone in a heartbeat!
